At Natural Kid Doc we created the NeuroThrive program to help identify root causes of your child's health issues and get them back to thriving!
Dr. Hanna knows firsthand what it is like to have a child that is struggling. Both of her daughters had PANS, a neurological condition that causes extreme anxiety, OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), and behavioral issues. Her children specifically suffered from extreme anxiety, OCD, ODD (oppositional defiant disorder), rage, tics, urinary and fecal incontinence, regressions in math and handwriting and hallucinations. She experienced first hand how doctors would dismiss her concerns or could not help in general. Behavioral challenges were brushed off and labeled as bad parenting.
Dr. Hanna knows the fear and worry that overshadows parents' minds when children struggle. She understands how exhausting it can be to have a child with difficult behaviors. Dr. Hanna successfully treated her own daughters with naturopathic medicine and now they are thriving young women.
NeuroThrive is a 12-month intensive program designed to address neuropsychiatric concerns in children to bring their health into balance and help them thrive.
Children with ASD, ADD, ADHD, anxiety and/or depression, OCD, ODD, PANS/PANDAS, extreme behavioral challenges (rage, anger) and tics are ideal candidates for this program. These children may also have urinary issues, frequent infections, allergies, sleep problems, deterioration in cognitive functions such as math, writing, memory and comprehension, or food restrictions and sensitivities.These challenges are often caused by a combination of things including diet, environmental stressors, susceptibility and genetics, infections, autoimmunity, and gastrointestinal problems. Dr. Hanna's goal is to identify the underlying root causes of your child's symptoms.
She uses an individualized multifaceted approach to bring your child's health back to a balanced state. And most importantly, she will listen to you and your child.
The program begins with an extensive new patient visit. A thorough investigation of a child's health history, current symptoms, family health history, environment, diet and lifestyle will be conducted.
Food intolerance testing, a comprehensive stool analysis and organic acid testing may be recommended to further investigate your child's food sensitivities, gut health, mitochondrial function, nutritional status, neurotransmitter function and detoxification abilities. The treatment plan focuses on correcting nutritional deficiencies, addressing food intolerances and gut health, treating infections, reducing inflammation, and addressing susceptibility. This is done by using food, herbs, supplements, homeopathy, and occasionally medications. Each plan is tailored directly to your child's needs and your goals of treatment.
